Last October 30th, AIMS MEDICAL was honored to attend the 34th Barcelona Healthcare Investment Forum, an event hosted by the Official College of Physicians of Barcelona (COMB), brings together healthcare entrepreneurs, investors, and key opinion leaders from the Catalan biomedical ecosystem (ESADE-BAN, Barcelona Activa – Barcelona City Council, Biocat and EIT-Health). During this event, Neus Giménez, CEO of the company, presented our mission to address the critical under-diagnosis of oropharyngeal dysphagia through advanced artificial intelligence solutions.
30 million European citizens suffer from dysphagia and 80% of cases are undiagnosed, a gap that AIMS MEDICAL is committed to closing. Our mission is to bring to the market proactive and efficient healthcare solutions that address the critical problem of under-diagnosis of dysphagia in the elderly. Our solution is AIMS-OD, a software as a service that enables rapid, large-scale screening to help clinicians identify patients at high risk of dysphagia. AIMS-OD, which is already being piloted in four public hospitals in Catalonia within the framework of CatSalut’s Transforming Projects (PT-092023-CSC, Generalitat de Catalunya), demonstrates its potential to improve diagnosis and patient care.
AIMS MEDICAL is now seeking seed funding to take our products to the wider markets, collaborating with investors and innovators within the Catalan biomedical ecosystem to drive healthcare solutions.
