On June 17–18, our colleague Cristina Amadó, Industrial PhD candidate at AIMS MEDICAL, participated as a speaker at the 4th TAULÍ HEALTH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYMPOSIUM (THAIS 2025), held in Sabadell, Barcelona. This annual event brings together leading professionals in artificial intelligence applied to healthcare.
Cristina presented two innovative research studies developed as part of her doctoral project and the AIMS-OD initiative:
- June 17: “A comparative study of the psychometrics and feasibility of artificial intelligence algorithms (AIMS-OD) versus the standard screening methods for oropharyngeal dysphagia: A scoping review”, exploring the diagnostic performance and feasibility of AI tools compared to traditional screening approaches for oropharyngeal dysphagia.
- June 18: “Assessing the prevalence and underdiagnosis of aspiration pneumonia among older hospitalized patients with community acquired pneumonia using an artificial intelligence algorithm”, a study investigating the potential of AI in identifying aspiration pneumonia in older adults, a condition often overlooked in clinical settings.
At AIMS MEDICAL, we are proud to support research that leverages AI to improve clinical decision-making, patient safety, and the future of healthcare.
